Last Names of Nuevo Leon

You may already be aware that many of my ancestors are from El Arcabuz, Tamaulipas, Mexico. My 5th great grandfather Francisco Angel de la Garza is even considered to be the founder of this town. Through this blog I have had the opportunity to meet many amazing people that also have deep roots in El Arcbauz, just as I do. It is for this people that I am writing this post. This post will make it easier for everyone doing research or at least that is my goal.

In this post i will be providing links to all articles concerning El Arcabuz that I have written in the past. Believe me this will make your research easier and provide you with the knowledge that you need to find your ancestors.

First thing is first, History:

Church Records 1750’s to early 1900’s”

Believe it or not everyone in Arcabuz was catholic and they were married and baptized, in Ciudad Mier. You can also find deaths recorded at the Mier church. Fortunately FamilySearch has indexed these records and you can search them here. If you don’t mind searching manually you can browse all the Mier Church Records Here.

SAGA Books for Mier:

Marriage Records 1767-1925 Grooms $30.00 Brides $30.00

Death Records 1767-1903 Book 1 A-Gil $30.00 Book 2 Her-Z $30.00
