1757 General Visit of Villa de Padilla
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This post, is about the 1757 General Visit of Villa de Padilla by Jose Tienda de Cuervo, it includes a link to the original documents.

Jose Tienda de Cuervo, a knight of the order of Santiago, arrived in Padilla on June 8, 1757 to inspect the town upon the request of Viceroy de las Amarillas.

The purpose of this post is to share with you the link to the original documents of the visit.  The documents are in Spanish but the good thing is that they have transcribed them so you can use google translate to read them, that is if you don't know Spanish.

The records are being shared by the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico in their project titled "Poblar el Septentrion".
