1691 Marriage of Nicolas Rodriguez Montemayor and Tomasina Ruiz de Ocon
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the June 15, 1691 marriage of Nicolas Rodriguez Montemayor and Tomasina Ruiz de Ocon who got married in what is nowadays Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. They are my 8th great grandparents.

The parents of Nicolas Rodriguez Montemayor are Diego Rodriguez de Montemayor and Ines de la Garza. The parents of Tomasina are Alonso Ruiz de Ocon and Maria de Salazar.

The will of their son Luis Javier de Montemayor it states that Nicolas was from Monterrey and that Tomasina was originally from Huichapan which I believe it sin the state of Hidalgo.

Below is the transcription of the above image so that you can read it more easily.

  1. I just found out Wednsday and Thurday that I have some De la Garza ancestors in Monterrey – will need further digging to see if there is a connection.
