Families of Boca de Leones, Nuevo Leon volumes one and two are very different from all of my other "Families of" series. Unlike them these marriages are not found at FamilySearch.org in either the index or browse collections. With all of the other volumes I looked at the online images of each marriage record. Contrast to that, in this two volume set I have not seen any of these marriage records. So here is the background.
A couple of years ago Juanita Santos told me that she heard from one of her cousins that the Archivo Histórico de la Arquidiócesis de Monterrey has Villaldama marriage records starting in the year1713. Juanita confirmed that the Monterrey Archdiocesis does have those records and she has been trying to get those records digitized. These two volumes are the results of her latest efforts. Her cousin Eliseo Garza and his wife Arcedalia went to the Archivo Historico and found a box with the marriage book. They also found an index book of marriages and took images of each page of the index book. Those images are what I used to create these two volumes. - Get the Book to read the rest.
