1813 Marriage of Jose Maria Flores and Maria Antonia Salinas
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the 1813 Marriage of Jose Maria Flores and Maria Antonia Salinas who got married in what is now China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Jose is my wifes 4th great-grandfather.

My wife is a descendant from Jose Maria's first marriage to Maria de Jesus Villarreal.

This record, of his second marriage is important because it mentions the name of his first wife and also that she is burried in Camargo. Thus providing a burial place for my wifes ancestor. It also mentions that both fo Jose Marias's parents were already dead by the time of the marriage. This helps me narrow my research.

The record also mentions that Jose Maria is a resident of Reynosa, another place to look for records.

Something to note also is that the record states "ayuda de parroquia de San Felipe de China". This means that the marriage took place not in China but somewhere else. I am assuming that it probably took place in "el Zacate" nowadays Dr. Coss Nuevo Leon. Probably at a chapel in that area.

To date I have only found one child for Jose and Maria. Jose married two more times and in total had twenty one children (that I have found). You can view their ancestors and their descendants at: https://lasvillasdelnorte.com/database/
