Joseph Martinez de La Garza, Monterrey, 1668 Baptism Pg. 10
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the August 24, 1668 baptism of Joseph Martinez Guajardo de la Garza in what is now a days Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. He is my 10th great grandfather.

He was the son of Jose Martinez Guajardo and Nicolasa de la Garza. His godparents are listed as Ag[?] de la Vera y Clara de la Garza.

It is unfortunate that this document is damaged and is missing information.

Joseph grows up to marry Margarita Gutierrez on September 16, 1693. She is that daughter of Diego Gutierrez de Castro and Gertrudis Flores. At the end of this post you will find a link to their marriage record.

Back to the baptism record, here is the transcription of it.
