Hidalgo County Records on Microfilm
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

If you are researching ancestors from Hidalgo County then you will be happy to hear that the Hidalgo County Records Available on Microfilm. These microfilms contain land records, marriage records, birth records, among other types of records.

The microfilms can be found at UTRGV, that is short for University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. They are being stored and preserved in the Lower Rio Grande Valley Special Collections. I recently used them to find the marriage record on some ancestors of my wife.

Below is a list of microfilm numbers and the title for them.

If there is anything in particular that you need to make sure to just write the film number and also the title. Once you go in person, you will need that information so that the staff can quickly find the film for you.
