Death Record of Blas Canales Benavides
Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the 1780 death record of my eighth great grandfather Blas Canales Benavides. He died in Cerralvo, Nuevo Leon, Mexico back in December 7th 1780.

This record indicates that he was married to Rosa Anzaldua. Unfortuatly it does not mention the names of his parents, but from toher records we know that he was the son of Blas Canales and Maria Benavides.

It is interesting to note that this document indicates that he did not leave a will since he had nothing to bequeath and also that he lived in Gualeguas which is present time Agualeguas.

  2. Moises,

I believe this Blas Canales Benavides 1710-1780 to be the sibling of Theodora Canales Benavides 1705-1769 married to Pedro Eufracio Ramos 1715-1797, my 5th GGF.

  3. Since we are related thru several lines, including the Benavides line, wondering if you have any data regarding Romano Benavides, who married Ma. Guadalupe de la Pena – she was the daughter of Jose Felipe de la Pena Uribe

    1. I have him in my database as Ramon Benavides the son of Jose Domingo Benavides Recio and Maria Justa Garcia. He died before 17 Oct 1856 and I only have Maria Cecilia Benavides as his daughter. I don’t have any other information for him.
