Last Names of Nuevo Leon
I was searching for the birth record of Cesareo Lopez my great-grandfather in the Mier Civil Registry at FamilySearch and instead came across my other great-grandfathers birth record. All I had for him was his name and names of his parents. I had originally assumed that he ans his parents were from Zacatecas Mexico but turns out they are not. I had previously written a post about his mother Paula Mendoza and had found her parents, who were from Zacatecas/Jalisco and now this document indicates that they may have had been from Guadalajara. But I had completely no information on his father Gabino Zamora. Well now I have his parents names Fernando Zamora and Marta Garza, and it also indicates that they were from Cadereyta Jimenez, Nuevo Leon. I’ll be posting latter on on my research about these families.
