Last Names of Nuevo Leon
I was born in Miguel Aleman and as a young kid would love going with my mother to run errands. When older I had many adventures there. I remember the dances, horse races, and hanging around with my cousins. I have many fond memories of this city close to the border. A city full of history and life. The following video is a corrido (ballad) of it’s Municipality which carries its name. It was written by Lauro Trevino and won in 2006 as the Municipalities Song. Right away you can see two trucks carrying cotton bales which was the municipalities main exporting product in the 50’s and 70’s and right away all the stories about I ever heard from my mom and dad come to mind. As I come across other songs I will be posting them also.
