Jose Tomas Perez, 1805 Baptism, Catedral de Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following is the 1805 Baptism record for my wife’s 3rd great grandfather Jose Tomas Perez. His parents are listed as Joseph Ygnacio Perez and Maria Guadalupe Garcia. He was nine days old at the time of baptism. His Godparents are listed as Ygenio Gonzalez and Maria Josefa Vaies. I have yet to discover whom his grandparents might have had been. You can see my previous post about his marriage to Maria Francisca de Allala, Jose Tomas Perez and Maria Francisca De Allala, 1837 Marriage, Valle De La Mota, General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. You can also see the image used for the transcript here See Original.

Jose Tomas Perez and Maria Francisca De Allala, 1837 Marriage, Valle De La Mota, General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following is the marriage of my wife’s 3rd great grandparents Jose Tomas Perez and Maria Francisca De Allala they got married back in 1837 in Valle De La Mota, present day General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The following document is very interesting since it mentions that Tomas was from the city of Monterrey and that he was the Widow of Juliana Maldonado and it also states that Maria Francisca was also the widow of Nicolas Cantu. If anyone has more information on them please let me know. Also I did my best transcribing the document since as you can tell it is kind of hard to see the letters. You can see the image used for transcription here See Original.

Francisco Perez and Paula Contreras, 1911 Marriage in Starr County, Texas

The following is the 1911 marriage record for my wife’s great grandparents, Jose Francisco Perez and Paula Contreras. I think I am spoiled by Mexican records but I sure was expecting a lot more of information on Texas marriage records. It does not list the parents, where they were from, and their ages. Is there any other records to supplement this marriage record or is this it? I only  know whom their parents were since they are listed on their Death Certificate. Paula and Francisco were only married for ten years since she died in 1921 from a snake byte.

Her paternal grandparents are listed as Ysidro Allala and Maria Ynes Gonzalez. Unfortunately for me the document lists that they failed to provide information for maternal grandparents. Maria Francisca was married to Tomas Perez.

Francisco Rodriguez de Montemayor and Maria Caballero de los Olivos, 1684 Church Marriage in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following is the 1684 Church Marriage record for my 7th great grandparents, Francisco Rodriguez de Montemayor and Maria Caballero de los Olivos, they married in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. There are to reasons the following document is interesting. First, it is a double wedding, the brides are half  sisters since both of their names are Maria and it is also indicated that the second Maria is “hija natural” natural daughter meaning that she was born out of wedlock. Second it mentions the names of the parents for both of the couples. The parents of Francisco are Diego Rodriguez de Montemayor and Ynes de la Garza. Her parents are listed as Sargent Lucas Caballero and Juana de Barrasa whom was deceased by the time the marriage occurred.

Narsizo Perez and Juana Francisca Tamez, 1841 Marriage in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

The following marriage record is of my 3rd great grandparents Narsizo Perez and Juana Francisca Tamez finally brought down a two year brick wall. Turns out that familysearch had the microfilm needed but unfortunately they only digitized half of the roll. I had contacted them over a year ago and was told that the problem had been forwarded to their engineers  I know I could have just ordered the film but the problem was that there is no familysearch library near me so that was out as an option. Tomorrow I’ll be posting about and recommending the person that got this image for me. For now lets talk about this image. Fortunately for me this image provided me with the parents of Narsizo as being Anselmo Perez and Rita Rodriguez and the parents of Juana Tamez as Pablo Tamez and Ygnacia Cavazos. If anyone has the same ancestors as me please contact me would love to trade information.

Maria Amalia Gonzalez Guerra and Pedro Marroquin Perez

My greatest appreciation goes to Ricardo Reyna who provided this picture of my paternal great grandparents, Maria Amalia Gonzalez Guerra and Pedro Marroquin Perez.

Original image is in possession of my aunt Amelia Garza de Garza who provided it to Ricardo, as per his request, for scanning so that he may send it to me.

Muchas Gracias Primo!

That I know of, they had Seven children and they were married on Aug 27 1912 in Guardados de Arriba, Tamaulipas, Mexico. This is the only picture that I have of them.

Thanks again Ricardo.
