1843 Death Record of Juan Jose Selvera de la Garza Mier

This is the August 21, 1843 death record of Juan Jose Selvera de la Garza who died in Mier, Tamaulipas, Mexico. He is my 4th great-grandfather.

The record does not mention the names of his parents but from other records we know that they are Jose Francisco Angel de la Garza and Maria Cayetana Pena

The record does mention that he left his wife Maria Gertrudis Blasa Cuellar as a widow. She is the daughter of Jose Juan Francisco Cuellar and Ana Maria Gutierrez de Castro.

el Campo Santo de esta Parroquia de la Villa de Mier. Yo El Pres-
btro. D. Jose Luis Gonzaga Garcia cura into. de dha Villa, di Sepul
tura Ecca con Ento. Mayor al cuerpo de D. Juan Garza vecino de
esta Villa en el Rancho del Arcabuz no se confeso ni recivio ningun
Sacramanto por haver caido sin Abla en su asidente en su Ran-
cho distante de aqui, fue casado con Da. Gertrudis Cuellar la
que quedo viuda, su enferemedad de que murio fue de dolore de Cos-
tado en la Casesa, y para que conste lo firme. up

the cemetery of this Parish of Villa de Mier. I The presbiterian D. Jose Luis Gonzaga Garcia interim priest of said Villa, burried
eccliasistacally with mahor burrial the body of Mr. Juan Garza neighbor of
this Villa at the Arcabuz ranch did not confess or receive any
sacaraments for having fallen without Voice in his accident in his ranch
far away from here, he was married to Mrs. Gertrudis Cuellar
who was left a widow, his illness from which she died was from pain in his head, and for the record. up
