Last Names of Nuevo Leon

During my genealogical search for my own ancestors I came across a book that may also be of interest to you. It is by historian Eugenio del Hoyo and it is titled "Indios, Frailes y Encomenderos en el Nuevo Reino de Leon Siglos XVII y XVIII".

Within the pages of this book you will find some very interesting information regarding native Americans and how they were treated. It will provide you with a glimpse as to how our native american ancestors were treated as property. Don't be surprised if even some of your Spanish ancestors are mentioned as owning native Americans.

This book is no longer for sale but I was lucky that my local university had a copy. Below I have included this books table of contents and also at the very end of the post a link to worldcat.org so that you may be able to find a library near you that may have this book.
