Last Names of Nuevo Leon

This is the November 1780 baptism of my 4th great grandfather Juan Jose Marroquin in Santiago, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. As you can see the image is very damaged. We can only see "jose" as the child's name, and no name for the father. What we can see are 3 letters of his name "cio". We do have her mother listed as Da. Juana Moya.

We know that Joseph Ascencio was married to Juana Moya, thus we can deduct that Ascensio is the father.

I got the clues to find this record form the book by Lee James Nichols, Los Marroquin de el Valle de Santiago del Guaxuco (, August 12, 2010), University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, Edinburg, Texas., Los Marroquin de el Valle de Santiago del Guaxuco, Pg. 10.
