Last Names of Nuevo Leon

Are your ancestors from Rio Grande City or it’s surrounding community? If they are then you will have fun browsing through over 1880 copies of The Rio Grande Herald that are online at the Texas Portal To Texas History.

You can find local history, graduation pictures, obituaries, and much more. I am sure you or your family will be listed. I found over 10 articles where my name comes up. Even a class photo with all the student’s name in them. I also found my father in laws graduating class “Class of 1974 Rio Grande City Texas” and his picture.

They have the following decades and the number next to them are the number of issues for that decade.

Remember don’t have too much fun embarrassing your family. Let me know about any finds specially the ones relating to your genealogy research.
