I discovered this book while researching my Marroquín ancestors, who lived in the Santiago area from the 1600s through the 1860s, when they moved to northern Tamaulipas.
What makes this book especially meaningful to me is that it tells the history of the church where many of my ancestors likely worshiped, attended Mass, received the sacraments, married, and buried their loved ones. Even more remarkable is that this historic church is still standing today.
