This record indicates that she is the daughter of Jose Maria Peña y de Maria Antonia Peña.

En esta parroquial de la Billa de Mier en beinte y siete dias del mes de Octubre de mil ochocientos once yo fr Anto. del Alamo cura ministro vicco y juez ecco. de esta villa Bautize Solemnemente puse los olios y sagrado [?]simo a una infanta espla. que nacio en el Rancho de la Bonita wl dia dose del presente a la qual puse por nombre Ma. Elena, hija de Jose Ma. Peña y de Ma. Anta. Peña: fueron sus padrinos a quienes adberti el parentesco y obligacion Jose MArcos Sainz y Ma. de los Santos Saenz, y pa que conste lo firme
