1865 Church Marriage of Jose Encarnacion Perez Ayala and Maria Dorotea Lozano Bosquez in General Teran, Nuevo Leon, Mexico

Moises Garza | October 30, 2011 | COMMENTS:No Comments »
The following is the image and transcription of the marriage that took place in Nuestra Señora de la Soledad church in General Teran Nuevo leon Mexico back in February 25, 1865 between Jose Encarnacion Perez Ayala and Maria Dorotea Lozano Bosquez. He was 18 years old and she was 15. Even though the image does not indicate it, Jose Encarnacion was the son of Jose Tomas Perez Garcia and Maria Francisca Ayala and Maria Dorotea was the daughter of Jose Justo Lozano and Maria Gertrudis Bosquez. The image indicates that the witnesses to the marriage were Jesus Elizondo and Francisco Sanchez. Jose Encarnacion and Maria Dorotea are my wife’s great-great-grandparents through her paternal side of the family.

His God parents are listed as being Doroteo Perez and Maria Carmen Perez. Jose Encarnacion had a brother named Dorotea and also a sister named Maria Carmen Perez. It is very likly that his god parents, aunt, and uncle are the same.
