Last Names of Nuevo Leon

If you do have a Cavazo’s connection you might be interested in attending this Sunday to the presentation hosted by the Rio Grande Valley Hispanic Genealogical Society. The presentation will be titled “Do You Have a Cavazos Connection?”. I bet you do since this last name is very popular in Northeastern Mexico and South Texas.

The presentation will be conducted by members of the RGVHGS, Carlos Cantu, Dr. Alonzo Cavazos, and Irene Silva. I do know that they are compiling family trees to try and link up everyone that may be a Cavazos descendant, but if you want to find out you will need to attend in person.

Do you have a Cavazos connection?

The presentation will be at the Harlingen public Library this coming June 22, 2014 at 2:00 PM. I already made arrangements to be present. Have you?

Let me know if you are attending, I would love to meet you in person and chat about your research.

The 7th We Are Cousins Virtual Genealogy Conference Will Take Place September 11-13, 2024

  1. I am certainly interested in any/all information relative to my Cavazos ancestors. However, it is impossible for me to attend the meeting on such short notice. Is it possible to get on the organization’s mailing address so that I may be included in their notices? I thank you very much.

    1. Hi Fannie, they have agreed to let me record the audio and put it on my podcast. It will be available on one of the episodes next month. I’ll see if I can get more information on how you could get in their mailings.

  2. When I received the notice about the genealogy meeting on June 22 about the Cavazos it was too late for me to plan to go. I have a connection through my mother. I had a dna done for maternal . I would be interested in getting any information about Cavazos. Beatriz garcia Tyminski. Thank you
