If you follow my blog then you are very well aware that I always recommend exhausting all the free resources before shelling out any money.
Several months ago I posted a request on Google+ asking for any genealogist that had access to the Family History Library to contact me for help in obtaining a document, even stated that I was willing to pay.
To my dismay no one replied so I left it alone until a few weeks ago. I thought let me look for someone providing services in that are and after searching came across Feldstein Genealogical Services. The service was fast and it only cost me $12.00 to have someone look at the microfilm and obtain the document. Paying through PayPal was a breeze.
You can check the document in my previous post Narsizo Perez and Juana Francisca Tamez – 1841 Marriage . So if you know a document exists and don’t have access, I highly recommend them for its retrieval.
The following marriage record is of my 3rd great grandparents Narsizo Perez and Juana Francisca Tamez finally brought down a two year brick wall. Turns out that familysearch had the microfilm needed but unfortunately they only digitized half of the roll. I had contacted them over a year ago and was told that the problem had been forwarded to their engineers I know I could have just ordered the film but the problem was that there is no familysearch library near me so that was out as an option. Tomorrow I’ll be posting about and recommending the person that got this image for me. For now lets talk about this image. Fortunately for me this image provided me with the parents of Narsizo as being Anselmo Perez and Rita Rodriguez and the parents of Juana Tamez as Pablo Tamez and Ygnacia Cavazos. If anyone has the same ancestors as me please contact me would love to trade information.

Just wanted to make you aware of this great book. I have seen great and bad reviews about it. After reading it I saw why some close minded people may be offended but I believe the author meant no harm and just called it as how he saw it.
Anyways, this is not a book review but in my opinion it is a great and valuable book that every Genealogical Library should have. I highly recommend it to anyone who has deep roots in South Texas, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, and Tamaulipas.
It also turned out to be very interesting and undoubtedly super informative as Mr. Duaine not only brought to life our common ancestors but also put them on a historical perspective.
